I’m a Playwright / Performer / Director working on Performance Research, Development, & Performance of work based within ancient tradition. This includes Comedy, Tragedy, & Satyr. My work also works with Peripateic Philosophy & Lecture. Works also inquire within Socratic questioning. Medieval & Early Renaissance: Commedia dell’Arte and contemporary uses; Botticelli’s paintings as characters in my performance repertoire. I’m Italian-American, mostly Campania region. Continuing interest in Pirandello, Eco, & Calvino. Well-versed in general European Art History, & utilized in museum & gallery performance. Contemporary-wise, I am interested in Dramadies, kitchen drama, and bathroom body rituals. Absurdity and abject performance. Headstands. Dance Comedy. Movement. Yoga, & Yoga Comedy. Working on a manuscript which is a combination of experimental writing, short scripts, & performance scores, “TEXTS IN PLAY”.
